The defining feature of the Diamond Frame bike design is the top tube.
Note that in our design, the top tube is perfectly horizontal which is a distinguishable feature for Peace Bicycles. Also, with a short front tube, the frame geometry appears almost triangular which streamlines the overall design and makes the bike look sportier.
Diamond frame bicycles are becoming more and more popular with women who are looking for something edgier.
While they tend to be harder to mount (it takes lifting ones leg higher), it's usually a matter of personal preference that makes the decision for riders.
Our bicycle is a variation on the traditional diamond frame. The parallel top tube and shortened head tube create an illusion which makes the frame appear more triangular than diamond shaped.
One of the advantages of the diamond frame design vs. the step-through is the ability to mount storage bags on the top bar. You have plenty of room between the top tube and the down bar to install a pannier, iPhone holder, water bottle holder or even a beer holder.
Sporty Vintage Look. Our customers tell us every time they take their diamond frame out on the street, people ask where they can buy it! This is thanks to its sleek look, classic diamond Dutch-style frame design, vintage looking corded spoke-guard and comfort balloon tires. Not to mention the retro handlebar and a tear-drop shaped front light.
Power. A 7-speed transmission gives you the power to climb hills, go fast, enjoy short trips and longer commutes.
Double Duty. This bicycle lets you commute and cruise. You'll love riding it on your commute to work as it is comfortable, stylish, fast and rides like a luxury BMW. It's also great for going for a quick grocery run, for coffee or cruising the beach.
Fully Equipped. This diamond frame model comes fully equipped standard. To keep your clothes clean on your ride, there are fenders, a custom chain-guard and a custom spoke-guard. For your utility, a rear rack with spring clip comes standard. Front and rear battery-powered lights increase visibility at night for your safety, and a gold bell will keep people on alert. One of the benefits of buying a fully equipped bike is that it saves you shopping time and money.
Safety. The bell and the two lights mentioned above and reflective strips on balloon tires, all contribute to safer night riding. And of course, the caliper brakes provide for secure braking.
Comfort. The diamond is an extremely comfortable bike, with its shock-absorbing high-tensile steel frame, a custom vintage spring-loaded saddle and Schwalbe Fat Frank balloon tires. At 34 pounds, it's also lighter than most fully-equipped Dutch Bikes. Finally, there is a kickstand for easy parking. A cushioned but fast ride overall.
High End Quality. The quality of our bikes can be seen in many elements including polished welding, 3-layer paint, Shimano gears and shifter, and Schwable Fat Frank balloon tires made with puncture proof Kevlar guard and reflective strips - the highest quality balloon tires available. The shiny stainless steel hardware completes the high-end look.
Designer Bicycle. You'll love the attention to detail we put in the designer metal 3D headbadge. Everything is color matching on the bike including grips and saddle (with pouch hinges) and truly beautiful brown balloon tires. The Peace Bicycles logo is engraved on the saddle and bell. And of course, the color matching corded coat-guard is a unique designer touch that makes the diamond stand out even more.

(verified owner)My wife and I ordered a few bikes last Christmas and I’ve got to say they really get us out and riding more. I feel like these are our nice premium car bikes that we take our around the neighborhood to feel the breeze in. Much like a nice car ride around town to break up a day. Also, love the vintage spoke guard on my diamond. Cheers.

(verified owner)The bike came with no rack. Peace did respond quickly and made the correction shipment. It is a sick bike! Like no other. The anticipation of getting it and not getting it at 100% equals 4 stars.

(verified owner)This is a pretty sweet looking bike. It’s very robust looking yet slender in person. I like he way the robust rack makes it look. It’s too bad I can’t have it in internal… when are you coming out with an internal version?

(verified owner)Got my Diamond today and assembled it in 30 minutes… pretty awesome looking bike I’m happy
a few things:
Bike came without extra brake spacer – not sure that’s important.
The clip on the rack is cool – I just wish you guys had the type that expands two ways and meets in the middle…. look into that… 🙂

(verified owner)I have had the original olive colored diamond since their kickstarter and the thing has held up really well. A few things I’ve learned from having this bike:
Keep it inside and away from the elements it lasts longer
The tires are really tough – I’ve ridden over gravel, nails, glass and more in Seattle and it’s held up.
Keep it locked up! These are very unique looking bikes are will get nicked!

(verified owner)The vintage coat guard is very unique. I just went to a cycling event here in San Diego and no one else had anything like it. Kudos to the designers. The spoke guard can come close to the tire tho and I’ve learned to simply adjust the fender if it’s off-kilter from storage. The whole bike flows magically. Best part is it’s fairly easy to lift onto our rear rack for trips. Very happy. How can we post pictures?

(verified owner)The bike is tight. It looks like a cool vintage mustang bike and I get compliments every time I take it out. I read some guy asking why don’t you use the newer belt drive chain setup?
Didn’t Ikea just have a massive recall on those bikes…that’s why. Glad you guy stick to the time tested shimano engine.

(verified owner)After riding the Diamond around for a few days I am really happy. It combines the agility of a fixie with the comfort of a cruiser. I am used to riding my fixie around town and it’s definitely a slouch over ride that hurts my back a lot. I’m also constantly replacing tires on it. The diamond is now my main ride and while it’s slower, it gives me the comfort and utility I need while also saving me from endless back pain.

(verified owner)My black diamond is fun to ride in SF. Usually paranoid to leave it outside without like 18 locks. Great bike. Hope your brand does well.

(verified owner)Hi we chatted yesterday. I have the seafoam step through and I just had a few more questions for my daughter and husband. Is it possible to get the night blue step thru dreamer with brown wheels instead of white? And what is the lifespan of balloon tires like these, I am not really familiar with this type of tires? My husband is 6’3” and looking at the dreamer as well but saw that the largest size goes to 6’2”. What are your thoughts on that? Would it be uncomfortable and such?

(verified owner)I’m updating my previous review in which I was not sure if I was going to like it. I have to say, after doing a lot of neighborhood riding involving streets, hills, and some dirt paths, this bike is really working out well for me. I am 5’2″ with short legs and some back and hip issues so got the 48″ triangle (even though I am female because I wanted a sportier style) and it has taken lots of micro adjusting to get the seat and bars in the right distance and tilt, but now it is pretty comfortable considering my structural issues. I like that is “complete” because my husband had to order lots of stuff to outfit his REI bike, so I feel like I got a great deal. I was not liking the color of the cream when it arrived because it is yellower than it shows in the photo, but it has really grown on me and I named it “Moonglow” because when I was a kid, my bike was always a “horse” and I see no reason to change that now. One of my neighbors who is from Poland commented that it looks like the bikes over there that you can rent in the city and I told her it is the Dutch style. It’s a great bike!
